Ruth Lin

Ruth Lin holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the Weatherhead School of Management and studied abroad at the University of Otago in New Zealand. Her volunteer work spans wildlife conservation and sustainability efforts, including initiatives in Ecuador’s Amazon rainforest, Environment Victoria in Australia, marine protected areas in California, brand reviews for Good on You, and carbon literacy certification in the UK. She gained experience at Silicon Valley tech startups before transitioning to nonprofit work with organizations such as Australian Volunteers International and Cascale (formerly the Sustainable Apparel Coalition) and now applies her finance and operations expertise to her passion for marine conservation. Currently residing in California’s San Francisco Bay Area, Ruth spends her free time in the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary, where she paddleboards, kayaks, and enjoys spotting sea otters and whales.
