Accelerating Ocean Conservation: The 2025 Blue Park Awards

Blue Park Awards celebrate marine protected area (MPA) quality achievement alongside MPA coverage. Join us to celebrate the governments, communities, and local champions whose conservation efforts meet the rigorous science-based Blue Park Standard for conservation effectiveness. These success stories will inspire and accelerate effective MPAs, supporting the Global Biodiversity Framework 30x30 target.

Join us to celebrate four 2025 Blue Park Award winners, a special recognition for an improved Blue Park, and the launch of a new Blue Spark collaboration to achieve the Blue Park Standard.

Marine Conservation Institute, together with the Republic of Costa Rica, the High Ambition Coalition for Nature and People, EarthEcho International, MigraMar, and The Blue Quest, will host the 2025 Blue Park Awards event in the Blue Zone of the UN Ocean Conference.
